Who are we
Imants BV - Turnhoutseweg 29 - 5541 NV - Reusel - NL - +31-(0)497642433 - firstname.lastname@example.org
Imants BV has been in business for over 125 years. The foundations of our internationally successful company were laid in 1885 by the village blacksmith in Reusel. Back then he made hand tools for the local farmers and townspeople. He was soon also successful making horse-drawn ploughs, which quickly became known for their high quality.
Foreign markets have also been a focus of our company. Imants has been active in the North and South American markets since 1992. Over 50% of production is currently for export, primarily to the countries bordering the Netherlands, the United States, Australia and New Zealand. Imants’ sales staff and the research and development department are constantly working to develop and promote new products, which are designed using modern techniques and developed in the factory in Reusel.
Mechanisation developed in leaps and bounds in the 20th century, with the tractor plough making its appearance following World War II. In this period, Imants distinguished itself as a parts supplier for plough manufacturers. The first spader was built in the 1960s; this became very popular following the invention of the crumbler roller. The landscaping industry then emerged as a market for our machinery by the 1980s. In the 1990s, Imants responded to this new opportunity by developing and producing the ‘Shockwave’, a machine for machine for landscaping, for which our company gained worldwide recognition. We also developed and produced various spaders and machines for asparagus cultivation, which made Imants a household name in various sectors of the agriculture and horticulture industries.
Imants continuously strives to develop machines that deliver maximum performance with the minimum possible effort and fuel, which fact has brought us a great deal of international recognition. Read on to find out more about Imants BV and what our agricultural machinery can do for you.
We Understand Your Needs
Imants BV develops, produces and sells its own machines for agriculture and horticulture, landscaping and soil fumigation. Our company always responds to the current needs and demands of the market. Every Imants machine showcases our specialisation: improving the quality of your soil.
Agriculture and Horticulture
The primary tillage of sandy and peaty soil can be done in various ways. Either the plough or the spader can be used. Increasing scale and rising fuel prices have led to the output and fuel consumption of the machines playing a more important role. For this reason we conducted an independent study on the output and fuel consumption of spaders and ploughs. The study showed that spaders use significantly less fuel (22%) than ploughs, and that the spader has a higher output (56%). This means that choosing a spader will mean advantages in time, costs and energy. The spader has a number of other advantages over the plough.
Our specialists will be happy to tell you more about the possibilities and the very wide range of spaders and rotovators from Imants.
Landscaping (Koro® and Imants)
Imants has a range of machines to keep turf healthy for golf courses, sports fields and parks. Healthy turf needs well-aerated soil and should be protected against felt and exclusively made up of cultivated grasses. The aerobic bacteria will not be able to create compost for your plants if the top layers of your turf can no longer breathe due to excessive compaction. This has a negative effect on the growth of roots and thus on the plants as a whole. Moreover, the chance of dehydration, waterlogging and disease is higher because the ground has insufficient water storage capacity. Imants has a range of machines to aerate your soil. Each machine has its own specific action, and the choice of machine can depend on the type of soil and the season. Imants will be happy to advise you on the best solution for your needs. A number of years ago Imants took over the KORO® brand. This expansion added major names like Fieldtopmaker® , Recycling Dresser® and Top Drain to the range of machines we provide.
Your soil will be safely and reliably decontaminated with Imants’ proprietary soil fumigation system. Our fumigation method involves a number of processes. First the fumigation agents are injected into the soil with injection prongs. Injecting the fumigation agent with the injection unit at the front of the tractor is an increasingly popular approach. With this system, the tractor drives over the injected soil and the spader at the rear of the tractor mixes the agent into the soil. The harrow then levels the soil, and the smooth roller closes it off so that none of the agent can escape. Various applications are possible, such as indoor and outdoor cultivation and field tunnels. Imants makes machines from 120 cm to 300 cm in width that can be combined and installed complete on the tractor.
Satisfaction through quality is Imants’ motto. As a specialist in its field, Imants fulfils this promise time and again. Our developers and sales team not only know their machines through and through, they also have considerable knowledge of the soils that you work with. That’s how we make a difference!
Satisfaction through quality
Imants’ quality shows both in the machines that we make as well as in the work they do. This is possible because our experienced technicians, apart from knowing the technologies involved, also understand what you expect from your machine. Furthermore, they are always ready to provide the personal and expert support that you need.
A unique, advanced computer system enables us to provide the best service possible to our customers with perfect quality control. All the relevant information is registered in the system for each machine. That’s how Imants can look up where the separate components of the machine came from and which supplier ordered them, for example. The result is that the system guarantees the quality and lifespan of your machine, leading to optimal returns. Furthermore, Imants uses this system to provide you with excellent service.
