For spading, the company deliberately chose an Imants 48WX spading machine with integrated subsoiler tines (type WX). “This allows us to loosen and mix the soil to a depth of 35 cm without having to use separate cultivators,” says the contractor.

The 48WX operates daily at high capacity, with a working speed of 7 km/h. The integrated subsoiler tines make it possible to spading and planting immediately afterwards in a single pass. This is particularly advantageous in dry springs, when the potato planter can follow straight behind, so that the work is completed in a single day. No extra passes, no unnecessary compaction.
