One pass, a neat seedbed – Dun Agro Hemp Group moves forward with the Imants 38FSX

With more than 25 years of experience, Dun Agro Hemp Group from Oude Pekela is one of the largest hemp producers in the Netherlands. Every year, they grow more than 1,300 hectares of hemp, from seed to end product – such as bedding, insulation material, CBD oil, and fibers for car tires, among other things.

They were looking for an alternative to their wing-type cultivator with disc coulters for working their fields. They wanted a machine that could prepare the soil and the seedbed in a single pass. They chose the Imants 38FSX – a folding spading machine with a working width of 6 meters.

The flat seedbed and the ability to mechanically incorporate weeds were the deciding factors,

according to Dun Agro. “Especially now that substances such as glyphosate are increasingly being banned, this is a future-proof solution.”

Initially, there were doubts as to whether the power harrow would smear or press down insufficiently, but these proved unfounded. With a working speed of 6 km/h and over 500 hectares of experience, they are now convinced.

We save time and the seeds germinate better, especially in dry springs.

The 6-meter-wide machine also proves its worth on smaller plots.
